Job summary

PT Samudera Caraka Jasa, Jakarta-based freight forwarding company, seeks a Pricing Specialist to lead pricing for domestics, air, import and project services. The role focuses on market analysis, cost considerations, and profitability optimization.

You will develop pricing models, coordinate with sales, finance and operations, and communicate changes to customers while ensuring competitiveness and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pricing (freight forwarding/logistics).
• Familiarity with freight forwarder, import/export processes, domestic logistics is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex pricing structures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide price quotations to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess pricing trends, cost structures, and customer behaviors.
• Acquire, negotiate, update, and develop pricing strategies to vendors, overseas/domestic agents, shipping lines, co-loaders, etc.
• Create and maintain pricing models that consider costs, demand, market conditions, and profit margins.
• Continuously review and adjust pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability while remaining competitive.
• Maintain accurate records of pricing structures, discounts, and promotions.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to identify logistics costs and align pricing strategies with overall business goals.

Job description

Prepare and provide price quotations to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders. Responsible in fulfilment for domestics, air, import and projects RFQs.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess pricing trends, cost structures, and customer behaviors.

Acquire, negotiate, update, and develop pricing strategies to vendors, overseas/domestic agents, shipping lines, co-loaders, etc. Tailored to domestics, air, import and project services, aligning them with business objectives.

Create and maintain pricing models that consider various factors, such as costs, demand, market conditions, and profit margins.

Continuously review and adjust pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

Maintain accurate records of pricing structures, discounts, and promotions.

Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of services and recommend cost-saving measures when applicable.

Monitor and assess the profitability of domestics, air, import and project services, identifying areas for improvement.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to identify logistics costs and align pricing strategies with overall business goals.

Communicate pricing changes and strategies to customers and address inquiries and concerns.

Requirements:
