Job summary

PTAMI in Indonesia requires a 2nd Commis Pastry to support the Galley, reporting to Pastry Chef. You will assist in pastry production, maintain equipment and uphold hygiene standards in a high-paced hotel or cruise environment.

The role expects at least 1 year in a 5-star setting, with a National Certificate in Pastry and advanced food safety certification. English literacy is required; national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Extensive knowledge of kitchen safety and knife handling.
• Strong initiative and culinary teamwork in fast-paced environments.
• Capable of following recipes and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pastry preparation according to company recipes.
• Maintain equipment and utensils to prevent damage.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to Pastry Chef.
• Follow guidelines set by Pastry Chef and SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout shift.
• Handle lido prep, floating, and breakfast as needed.
• Meet daily tasks and use company resources properly.
• Adhere to company recipes and trainings.
• Maintain property cleanliness and workstation appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including health, safety and security.
