Job summary

Pocruises is seeking a 2nd Commis Pastry at SBI, Indonesia, to support pastry production in the Galley. You will follow recipes, assist with high-volume pastry tasks, and work under the Pastry Chef.

Requirements include 1+ year pastry experience in luxury hotels/cruise settings, a National Certificate in Pastry, and food safety certification. English proficiency is required, and you may be assigned to any pastry station as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year work experience in pastry in a 5 star+ hotel, cruise ship, or high-profile restaurant.
• Experience in high-volume operation of pastry services.
• National Certificate in Pastry and advanced food safety certifications.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of pastry according to company recipes.
• Maintain and return equipment to prevent damage.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to Pastry Chef.
• Follow guidelines and instructions from Pastry Chef.
• Maintain productivity, cleanliness and sanitation throughout shift.
• Handle lido prep, floating and breakfast; may work any pastry station.
• Meet daily tasks and comply with SOPs.
• Complete trainings and uphold company standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance of company property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
