Job summary

Nestlé Indonesia, the world's largest food and beverage company, seeks an Operations Shift Manager to drive line objectives by empowering the team and ensuring on-time production while complying with safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental requirements.

A day includes leading safety culture, ensuring finished and semi-finished goods meet standards, maintaining NGMP, organizing assignments, and coordinating with line teams, Production Manager, Maintenance and unions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Food Technology or Engineering-related field.
• 2-5 years in a functional role in the food industry, with experience in managing and motivating people.
• Ability to address non-compliance effectively.
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment and proper housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure a safe working environment by enforcing hygiene and safety procedures.
• Ensure semi-finish and finished goods are produced to quality standards and manufacturing instructions.
• Maintain NGMP-compliant working areas and installations.
• Manage production through operational reviews and standard routines for sustainable results.
• Organize and delegate tasks, assess team performance, and coordinate with stakeholders on the line.

• Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures
• Ensure that Semi Finish Good and Finished Goods are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance).
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines to ensure sustainable results.
• Organizing & delegating assignments to the team members, assessing and evaluating the work performance of the teams
• Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line)

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor (S-1) Majoring Food Technology or Technical/Engineering
• 2-5 year experience in a functional role in Food industry - Having Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people
• Ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance,
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.
• Ability to ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment Ability to set effective and challenging objectives
