Job summary

Nestlé Indonesia is seeking an Operations Shift Manager to drive line objectives by empowering teams and ensuring the shift production plan is met on time and in compliance with safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs.

You will lead safety culture, enforce hygiene and safety procedures, and ensure products are manufactured to NGMP standards. The role requires strong people management and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Food Technology or Engineering.
• 2-5 years in a functional role in food manufacturing.
• Ability to lead and engage teams and manage non-compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safety culture and enforce hygiene and safety procedures.
• Ensure semi-finish and finished goods meet quality standards and manufacturing instructions.
• Maintain NGMP-compliant working areas and installations.
• Manage production effectively via operational reviews and Standard Routines.
• Organize and delegate tasks, evaluate team performance.
• Maintain dialogue with line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, and stakeholders.

• Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures
• Ensure that Semi Finish Good and Finished Goods are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance).
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines to ensure sustainable results.
• Organizing & delegating assignments to the team members, assessing and evaluating the work performance of the teams
• Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line)

• Bachelor (S-1) Majoring Food Technology or Technical/Engineering
• 2-5 year experience in a functional role in Food industry - Having Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people
• Ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance,
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.
• Ability to ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment Ability to set effective and challenging objectives
