Job summary

PT Triton Global Maritim in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Operation Manager - Offshore Vessel to lead all aspects of offshore vessel operations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive performance.

You will manage crew scheduling, maintenance coordination, and reporting to senior management, with travel for offshore visits and adherence to HSE standards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in offshore vessel operations, with 5+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Experience with AHTS and AWB vessels is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards.
• Proven track record in managing offshore vessel operations in the oil and gas sector.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily offshore vessel operations, ensuring safety and compliance with maritime regulations.
• Develop procedures and best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Manage vessel crew scheduling, performance monitoring, and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime laws, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and coordinate with technical teams to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
• Prepare and submit operational reports and performance metrics to senior management.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders regarding operations and project status.
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into incidents or non-conformances and recommend preventive measures.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operation Manager - Offshore Vessel to join our team based in South Jakarta. This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our offshore vessels. As Operation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vessel operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading your team to achieve operational excellence. This position is integral to our ability to deliver high-quality services to our clients in the oil and gas industry.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily offshore vessel operations, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with maritime regulations


• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime

• Maintain communication with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders regarding vessel operations and project status


• Identify and manage operational risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore vessel operations, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity


• Previous experience with AHTS and AWB vessel is a MUST


• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and offshore industry standards


• Proven track record in managing offshore vessel operations in the oil and gas sector


• Experience with vessel performance optimization, maintenance planning, and cost management


• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop personnel


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Indonesia; English language proficiency is advantageous


• Advanced understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols and best practices


• Professional qualifications such as certification as a Marine Engineer, or equivalent maritime management qualifications


• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in challenging situations


• Willingness to undertake regular offshore visits and travel as required
