PT JAYA SALVAGE INDONESIA is seeking an experienced HSE Officer for a marine cargo recovery and Ship-to-Ship (STS) operation onboard a VLCC in Batu Ampar, Batam. You will implement and monitor the HSE Plan, conduct safety inductions, and review risk assessments and PTW processes to ensure safe operations.
The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in HSE or related fields, with 2+ years in marine/offshore environments, AK3 Umum or equivalent certification, and strong English communication.
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer for a marine cargo recovery and Ship-to-Ship (STS) operation onboard at VLCC Tanker in Batu Ampar, Batam.
Implement and monitor the project's HSE Plan, Emergency Response Plan, and applicable safety procedures.
Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and daily HSE briefings.
Prepare and review JSA, Risk Assessment, Permit to Work (PTW), and lifting or operational safety requirements.
Monitor high-risk activities, cargo pumping, lifting operations, mooring, vessel transfer, and work in hazardous areas.
Ensure personnel comply with PPE requirements and safe working procedures.
Conduct routine workplace inspections and maintain HSE records, checklists, and reports.
Verify gas-testing activities and monitor oxygen, LEL, H₂S, and other relevant atmospheric conditions.
Report, investigate, and follow up on incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, medevac arrangements, firefighting readiness, and oil-spill response.
Exercise Stop Work Authority when an unsafe condition or activity is identified.
Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of HSE experience in marine / offshore / oil and gas / STS operations.
Valid General OHS Expert certification (AK3 Umum) or another recognized HSE certification.
Strong knowledge of Permit to Work, JSA/JHA, risk assessment, incident reporting, emergency response, and gas-testing procedures.
Familiar with confined-space entry, lifting operations, working at height, hot work, hazardous areas, and marine operations.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willing to work onboard or at the project site in Batu Ampar, Batam.
Available for the full project period, approximately 45 days, subject to the operational schedule.
Able to work extended hours or rotational shifts according to project requirements.
