PT SOECHI LINES Tbk is seeking an experienced Marine Manager in Jakarta to oversee marine operations, safety, and regulatory compliance across assigned vessels. You will ensure ships operate safely, efficiently, and in line with maritime standards and company procedures.
The role requiresANT-1 Master Mariner Certification and a minimum of 10 years sailing as Master, with strong knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and international regulations. Frequent travel to vessels is expected.

We are looking for an experienced Marine Manager to oversee marine operations, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance across assigned vessels. The role will ensure that vessel operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable maritime regulations, company procedures, and industry standards.
Monitor shipboard marine safety, environmental, and quality matters, including risk identification and control for assigned vessels.
Monitor monthly reports related to navigation equipment and shipboard radio communication.
Monitor marine, safety, environmental, and quality issues across both office and shipboard operations.
Conduct regular vessel visits and onboard inspections, including monitoring cargo loading and discharging operations.
Monitor voyage and operational performance of assigned vessels and provide guidance and assistance to the Master as required.
Prepare daily and monthly operational reports and monitor the results of cargo loading and discharging activities, including R1, R2, R3, and R4.
Maintain ISM Certification and develop the annual shipboard audit plan in coordination with the Quality Management Officer.
Conduct vessel inspections to ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Line, STCW, ILO Conventions, and applicable industry codes.
Ensure identified deficiencies and corrective actions are properly followed up and implemented within the required timeframe.
Maintain records of accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and ensure effective investigations and corrective actions are carried out.
Ensure marine procedures are implemented in accordance with company SOPs and established marine standards.
Analyze cargo losses and prepare reports, provide advice to the Master, and support the resolution of cargo-related disputes.
Coordinate with the Technical Superintendent in the event of vessel leaks, damage, or other technical/marine-related issues.
Establish annual audit plans, coordinate internal audits, participate in audits, and monitor follow-up corrective actions.
Arrange and monitor onboard fleet inspections, including pre-vetting inspections, incident investigations, audits, quality assurance implementation, and safety training.
Work closely with Masters, Technical Superintendents, Quality/HSSEQ teams, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain safe and efficient vessel operations.
ANT-1 (Ahli Nautika Tingkat I) / Master Mariner Certificate is required.
Minimum 10 years of sailing experience in the capacity of Master.
Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, marine operations, and safety requirements.
Extensive experience and familiarity with TMSA, SIRE, PSA, and relevant industry standards.
Strong understanding of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and other applicable maritime regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with vessel and shore-based teams.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Willing to travel frequently and conduct regular vessel visits.
