MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Sales Manager to lead and expand our ocean freight operations in Surabaya and East Java. You will drive strategic sales growth, manage key corporate accounts, and oversee tender processes and commercial negotiations to strengthen market presence.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in ocean freight sales or freight forwarding, with 5+ years in leadership roles, and a proven track record in B2B logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales or Sales Operations Management within Ocean Freight or Freight Forwarding industries.
• Minimum 5 years in managerial or strategic leadership roles.
• Experience selling logistics and supply chain solutions under a B2B business model.
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight operations, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
• Experience managing strategic accounts, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
• Fluent business English for communication and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement area sales strategies to increase market share in Surabaya and East Java.
• Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and industry trend monitoring.
• Lead high-level commercial negotiations, presentations, and tender processes for strategic accounts.
• Manage and maintain relationships with key customers and business partners.
• Handle customer escalations and ensure effective resolution of operational or commercial issues.
• Monitor sales team performance and ensure achievement of business targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal operations and regional stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Support development of integrated logistics and ocean freight solutions for customers.
