Job summary

WIK Group in Indonesia seeks an experienced Molding Production Lead to optimize plastic injection molding operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will lead a cross-functional team, drive cost and quality improvements, and collaborate with QA, Design, Tooling and Production to launch new products. A Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in molding are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in MD/molding leadership in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership of cross-functional molding teams and cost/efficiency focus.
• Experience with injection molding, material handling, parameter standardization.
• Knowledge of SAP, Windchill PLM, and Microsoft Project/SharePoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead MD production team’s profit and loss against KPI metrics and manage operations.
• Develop strategies to improve molding efficiency and coordinate with QA, PM, Toolshop, Design & Development.
• Work with cross functions to address molding issues and provide corrective actions.
• Supervise fabrication of plastic molds, dies and machinery for new products and QC.
• Collaborate with quality team on customer issues and provide root-cause documentation for audits.
• Improve manufacturing costs and arrange 6S, improving the working site environment.

Your Tasks

• Lead the Molding (MD) production team’s profit and loss against financial and operational metrics. Monitor and control KPI metrics within the MD. and manage the MD for operation excellence.
• Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve molding efficiency. Provide expertise knowledge and solutions for any undefined dimension from production on assembly criticalness and deploy with Molding QA, Project Management, Toolshop, Design & Development and Production accordingly.
• Work with cross functions to address component parts that involve molding issues with daily feedback on any defective parts found and provide corrective solutions. Follow up on the effectiveness of action proactively.
• Supervise the fabrication of plastic molds, dies and machinery in support of new product introductions, operations activities and quality control.
• Work closely with quality team on those customer issues and provide root causes on molding process related and attending to customer quality audit with documentation proof.
• Improve manufacturing cost of plastic products. Arrange 6S, improve working site environment. Finish the task by the superior managers.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, minimum 6 years’ experience in the same position in manufacturing, plastic injection molding processing.
• Develop and maintain a good injection molding technical expertise and to perform under high pressure and adapt himself to changing requirements, cost, efficiency & scrap reduction.
• Strong in production & process management, leading cross-functional molding teams and deep understanding of plastic material properties, material matching and material handling requirements, ability Team Leadership & Talent Development, logic to assess problems and take the appropriate course of action.
• Experience from household appliances, Microsoft project / SharePoint, PLM (Windchill), SAP is an advantage, injection molding process setup, parameter tuning and troubleshooting. Skilled in process parameter standardization, document archiving and factory system management.
• Hands-on experience with molding machines Brand Engel, peripheral auxiliary equipment & central feeding system. Capable of analyzing production defects (flash, sink mark, short shot, warpage etc.) and implementing corrective actions.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, solid skill for Microsoft office and good attitude, adaptability to company culture, teamwork spirit and influence skills, and seek continuous improvement, active listening, presentation skills.
