Job summary

PT Lintas Maju Berlayar in North Jakarta is seeking a Mandarin Speaking Merchandising Manager to lead our merchandising vision for the Retail Products division. This role is full-time and based in North Jakarta.

You will translate market insights into compelling product displays, collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations, and manage assortments and inventory to optimise stock turnover and drive sales. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4–6 years' experience in merchandising, retail management, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles, visual merchandising, and category management.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing merchandising strategies that grow sales.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret sales data and consumer insights.
• Proficiency with merchandising software and retail analytics tools; knowledge of inventory systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to travel to retail locations for store visits and audits.
• Qualification in retail management, marketing, business administration, or related field preferred.

• Preparing detailed merchandising reports and presenting insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Training and mentoring retail staff on effective merchandising practices and product knowledge.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal product placement and promotional support.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and consumer insights
• Proficiency in merchandising software and retail analytics tools; experience with inventory management systems is highly valued
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
• Strong creative vision combined with commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment whilst managing multiple projects and priorities
• Flexibility to travel to retail locations for store visits and audits as required
• Relevant qualification in retail management, marketing, business administration, or a related field is preferred
