Job summary

Evyap Sabun Indonesia in Medan, North Sumatra, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in maintenance of heavy equipment and systems. You will lead the mechanical team, oversee preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure reliable plant operations.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in CAD/design/analysis, and familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP+, and related standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Familiar with equipment installation, repair and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP+, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical team to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures promptly.
• Manage spare inventory and cost control.
• Enforce company policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support cost optimization and waste reduction efforts.
• Ensure safe work practices and clean workplace standards.
• Coordinate with leadership for strategic plant decisions.

Who We're Looking For?

• Preferably has 8+ years of experience/familiarity in mechanical maintenance. Familiar with equipment installation, repairing and maintenance activities (preventive maintenance, machine inspection, rotary, piping, vessel etc.)
• Excited about being part of a dream,

• A strong to analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and troubleshoot problems effectively
• Aware of relevant management system (ISO 9001, GMP+, FSSC 22000, CPPOB, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Proficiency in areas like CAD, design, and analysis, as well as a strong foundation in mathematics.
• Able to come to our site in Medan, North Sumatera

What You'll Be Doing?

Works closely with leadership team and other functions to support and add value to the strategic business decisions. Mechanical Engineer of Evyap Sabun Indonesia will generally be responsible for all the Mechanical equipment and machinery system in project implementation and plant maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the Mechanical team by providing guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the team for the purpose of achieving a safe working environment & optimal equipment technical availability whilst working within the agreed budget.
• Responsible for motivating, disciplining, and counselling team members appropriately and in ensuring their job skills are constantly improving and developing in accordance with the established training plan
• To plan, schedule and carry out preventive maintenance on Mechanical equipment in the plant on period basis to prevent any major breakdown.
• To attend to any unscheduled breakdown on timely basis and to investigate and troubleshoot any processing problem due to Mechanical failure.
• Overseeing spare inventory control to ensure costs are kept at health level.
• To ensure all company policies & procedures are strictly adhered and followed.
• Responsible in planning and implementing continuous improvement and optimization in plant to ensure cost-efficiency and reduce in wastage.
• Implemented of clean workplace, and safe practices
• To enforce safe work procedures to prevent unforeseen accidents.
