Job summary

Grab in Jakarta, Indonesia, is seeking a Marketplace Assistant Manager (Mobility) to blend analytical rigor with business strategy to influence marketplace performance across Indonesia's mobility market. You will work with cross‑functional teams, report to the Senior Manager, and help shape growth, profitability, and customer experience while driving initiatives from concept to execution onsite.

• 3–5 years of experience in strategy, analytics, project management, consulting, product operations, or a technology‑related environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (or Google Sheets) with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar.
• Experience managing defined projects involving multiple teams from problem definition through implementation.
• Exposure to designing experiments and measuring results.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; quantitative backgrounds advantageous.
• Experience in ride-hailing, marketplaces, logistics, e‑commerce, or tech environments is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined marketplace projects and workstreams to improve reliability and passenger experience across Indonesia's 2W and 4W mobility services.
• Monitor marketplace performance, investigate anomalies, and collaborate with Product, Operations and other teams to identify causes and actions.
• Combine data analysis with insights from passengers, drivers, and operating teams to understand marketplace problems.
• Develop tactical recommendations and contribute to longer-term projects improving availability, booking experience, service quality, and marketplace health.
• Support and build experiments, including hypothesis development, design, rollout, and results recommendations.
• Track project implementation and results, flag risks or issues, and coordinate follow-up actions with stakeholders.

Get to Know the Team

The Group Marketplace team manages Grab's marketplaces across Southeast Asia. You will work with team members across multiple departments by marketplace levers such as pricing, incentives, and allocation. The team also generates business insights and proposes data-driven strategic plans to grow the business across both transport and deliveries.

We're looking for a Marketplace Assistant Manager (Mobility) to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. You'll combine analytical rigor with business strategy to influence stakeholders and guide marketplace performance across the Indonesia mobility market. This is an exciting opportunity to affect our platform's growth, profitability, and customer experience while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will directly report to the Senior Manager. The role will be based onsite.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Manage defined marketplace projects and workstreams to improve reliability and passenger experience across Indonesia's 2W and 4W mobility services.


• Monitor marketplace performance, investigate anomalies, and collaborate with Product, Operations, and other teams to identify potential causes and corrective actions.


• Combine data analysis with insights from passengers, driver-partners, and operating teams to develop a practical understanding of marketplace problems.


• Develop tactical recommendations and contribute to longer-term projects that improve availability, booking experience, service quality, and overall marketplace health.


• Support and build experiments, including hypothesis development, experiment design, rollout coordination, results recommendations.


• Track project implementation and results, flagging risks or issues and coordinating follow-up actions with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in strategy, analytics, project management, consulting, product operations, or a technology‑related environment.


• Strong proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) or Google Sheets, with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or another analytical tool.


• Experience in managing defined projects or workstreams involving multiple teams, from problem definition through implementation and evaluation.


• Exposure to designing experiments, measuring results, or evaluating the impact of business initiatives.


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Quantitative, business, economics, engineering, or related backgrounds are advantageous.


• Experience in ride‑hailing, marketplaces, logistics, e‑commerce, travel, or another technology environment is advantageous but not required.
