Qualifications

• 8–10 years of BD/commercial experience in infrastructure or engineering consulting, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Familiarity with at least two core areas: roads/bridges/tunnels, renewables, industrial estates, disaster management or buildings.
• Understanding of procurement cycles for projects funded by international financiers and Indonesian public/SOE entities.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written & spoken).
• Strong negotiation skills and a broad network in the Indonesian infrastructure ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a BD plan targeting Indonesia's private, SOE, and donor-backed infrastructure pipeline.
• Monitor capex trends across priority sectors such as transport, energy, and urban development.
• Lead end-to-end pursuit lifecycles from discovery to contract closure.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially minded, strategic Business Development Managerto lead market expansion, strategic client engagement, and high-value proposal pursuits in Indonesia.

In this key leadership role, you will serve as the commercial bridge between technical excellence and market opportunity, driving growth across private-sector developers, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), government ministries, and international development partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive business development plan targeting Indonesia's private, SOE, and donor-backed infrastructure pipeline.
• Monitor and capitalize on capital expenditure trends in priority sectors, including Industrial Estates, Transportation (Roads, Bridges, Tunnels, Rail, Ports), Renewable Energy (Hydropower), Buildings, and Disaster Mitigation.
• Lead end-to-end pursuit lifecycles—from early-stage client discovery and bid qualification to commercial positioning and contract closure.
• Work closely with internal technical heads (Topographic, Geotechnical, Hydrological, Structural, and CM/PM experts) to craft winning, commercially viable bids.
• Nurture high-trust networks with private developers, SOE decision-makers, government agencies, and international development institutions (e.g., JICA, ADB, World Bank).
• Track key BD metrics (pipeline value, conversion rate, proposal volume, contract wins) and provide strategic insights directly to board-level leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline, combined with a solid grounding in engineering/construction services.
• 8–10 years of proven business development or commercial experience within the infrastructure or engineering consulting space, including at least 3 years in a managerial or team lead capacity.
• Hands-on commercial familiarity with at least two of the following core areas:
  • Transportation (Roads, Bridges, Tunnels, Rail, Seaports, Airports)
  • Renewable Energy (Hydropower)
  • Industrial Estates & Urban Master Planning
  • Disaster Management (Flood/Landslide Mitigation) or Buildings
• Strong understanding of procurement cycles for projects funded by international financial institutions (Multilateral/Bilateral donors) and Indonesian public/SOE entities.
• Full professional fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written & spoken).
• Emotional maturity, strong negotiation skills, agility in long-cycle pursuits, and an established network across the Indonesian infrastructure ecosystem.
