Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced R&D Formulation Manager – Personal Care in Tangerang, Indonesia. You will lead skincare, haircare and body care formulations from concept to production-ready products, with a strong focus on scratch formulations and real innovation.

Reporting to the Innovation Director, you will build and mentor the local R&D team, establish development processes, oversee lab trials and stability testing, and manage scale-up from pilot batches to mass production while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field like chemistry or cosmetic science.
• 7–10 years hands-on formulation experience in cosmetics.
• Proven track record developing formulations from scratch.
• Mandarin Chinese fluency required; willingness to relocate to Indonesia for Mainland China candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation R&D from concept to production-ready formulas with scratch development.
• Oversee lab trials, stability testing, and technical validation.
• Scale-up formulations from pilot batches to mass production.
• Develop skincare, haircare, and body care formulations and related products.
• Maintain documentation, master files, and regulatory compliance with BPOM/NMPA.
