About the role

We are seeking a Mandarin Assistant Manager to join PT Lansheng Global Medika in West Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our healthcare operations and facilitating effective communication with our Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, patients, and partners. As an Assistant Manager, you will bridge cultural and linguistic gaps whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of our growing healthcare organisation. Your multilingual capabilities and management experience will be instrumental in expanding our reach and ensuring exceptional service delivery across our medical services.

Key responsibilities

Provide management support across healthcare operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of assigned departments or functions

Facilitate communication between Mandarin-speaking patients, staff, and external partners, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity

Translate and interpret clinical, administrative, and business documentation as required

Support the coordination of patient interactions and consultations involving Mandarin-speaking individuals

Assist in training and mentoring staff on communication protocols and cultural competency

Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations, including patient privacy standards

Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency within assigned areas

Liaise with management on departmental issues, staffing needs, and service improvements

Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to healthcare delivery

What we're looking for

Fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) with strong English communication skills

Previous experience in a management or assistant management role, preferably within the healthcare sector

Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate workflows, and support operational functions

Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail

Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with experience working in diverse environments

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders

Understanding of healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality standards, and medical terminology

Proficiency with standard office software and healthcare management systems (preferred)
