Job summary

PT Indal Aluminum Industry Tbk, based in Surabaya, seeks a procurement professional who is fluent in Mandarin to liaise with Asian suppliers, translate discussions, and manage import activities. You will support meetings, prepare documentation, and contribute to price negotiations while ensuring timely orders and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5 years in purchasing/import or translator roles, strong Mandarin skills, and solid proficiency with MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5 years work experience in purchasing/import or translator roles (Mandarin/English/Indonesian).
• Fluent in Mandarin; reading, writing and speaking skills required.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and reporting abilities.
• Computer literacy; MS Office and Excel proficiency.
• Understanding import licenses and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product stock availability and coordinate with procurement.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers and prepare order documentation.
• Make price comparisons and negotiate best prices.
• Prepare and sign contracts; manage letters of credit (LC).
• Translate between Mandarin and Indonesian for meetings.
• Assist in meetings and provide accurate translations.

Makesure product stock availability, collect data & collaborate with procurement to execute product requests

Establishing price lists, conducting market research and holding meetings with the aim of developing new ideas, projects and businesses that can be explored.

Make price comparisons

Liaise & negotiate with overseas suppliers and prepare documentation for orders

Best price negotiation by email/phone

Making PO, signing conract, opening LC

Monitoring purchased items until arrived at the wahehouse based on schedule

Scheduling on PIB Payment

Experienced in dealing with Asian vendors.

Support the team by translating written materials when required.

Making tally sheet

Ensure all orders are followed up containers arrive on a timely manner

Translate conversations between Chinese and Indonesian workers.

Assist in meetings, briefings, and operational discussions.

Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.

Accompanying experts for coordination in the field and in the office

Experienced in dealing with Asian vendors.

Requirements:

D3/S1 Degree in Sasta Mandarin, language certificat (e.g HSK for Mandarin), procurement or supply chain qualification.

Language skills : Mandarin, Cantonese, or other dialects, Reading, writing, speaking, negotiating skills

5 years work experience in similar positions in the Purchasing Import/Translator english-mandarin/Indonesia

Fluently in both speaking, reading, and writing Mandarin

Hardworking,able to multi-task,resourcefuland proactive with a sense of urgency

Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and reporting skill

Computere literate,competent in internet usage Ms Office, Excell.

Be able to work under pressure,good communication skill, working in team

Required Skill:has knowledge about savory raw materials, good analytical and problem solving skills.

Understand import license and regulation would be an advantage, fluent in oral and written english and mandarin
