Job summary

PT Indal Aluminum Industry Tbk in Surabaya seeks a Mandarin-speaking procurement specialist and translator. You will liaise with Asian vendors, prepare price lists, issue purchase orders, and negotiate best terms while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with import rules.

This role requires strong language skills (Mandarin/English/Indonesian), 5 years in purchasing/import translation, and the ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and report findings clearly to the team.

Qualifications

• D3/S1 degree in Mandarin, procurement or supply chain qualification.
• Fluent Mandarin, Cantonese or other dialects with reading, writing, and negotiating skills.
• 5 years experience in purchasing/import/translator roles involving English-Mandarin / Indonesian.

Responsibilities

• Make price comparisons.
• Liaise & negotiate with overseas suppliers and prepare order documentation.
• Make PO, signing contract, opening LC.
• Monitor purchased items until arrival at the warehouse according to schedule.
• Translate conversations between Chinese and Indonesian workers.
• Assist in meetings and coordinate with field and office teams.

Makesure product stock availability, collect data & collaborate with procurement to execute product requests

Establishing price lists, conducting market research and holding meetings with the aim of developing new ideas, projects and businesses that can be explored.

Make price comparisons

Liaise & negotiate with overseas suppliers and prepare documentation for orders

Best price negotiation by email/phone

Making PO, signing conract, opening LC

Monitoring purchased items until arrived at the wahehouse based on schedule

Scheduling on PIB Payment

Experienced in dealing with Asian vendors.

Support the team by translating written materials when required.

Making tally sheet

Ensure all orders are followed up containers arrive on a timely manner

Translate conversations between Chinese and Indonesian workers.

Assist in meetings, briefings, and operational discussions.

Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.

Accompanying experts for coordination in the field and in the office

Experienced in dealing with Asian vendors.

Requirements:

D3/S1 Degree in Sasta Mandarin, language certificat (e.g HSK for Mandarin), procurement or supply chain qualification.

Language skills : Mandarin, Cantonese, or other dialects, Reading, writing, speaking, negotiating skills

5 years work experience in similar positions in the Purchasing Import/Translator english-mandarin/Indonesia

Hardworking,able to multi-task,resourcefuland proactive with a sense of urgency

Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and reporting skill

Computere literate,competent in internet usage Ms Office, Excell.

Be able to work under pressure,good communication skill, working in team

Required Skill:has knowledge about savory raw materials, good analytical and problem solving skills.

Understand import license and regulation would be an advantage, fluent in oral and written english and mandarin
