Job summary

PT. CANTINA MEXICANA BALI is seeking an energetic cook to prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards while maintaining quality, hygiene, and smooth kitchen operations.

In this role you will prepare mise en place, follow established recipes and portion sizes, and ensure timely service. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and collaborate with the kitchen team to minimize waste and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen position.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety.
• Able to follow recipes and kitchen standards accurately.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and mise en place according to daily kitchen requirements.
• Cook and prepare dishes following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and timely service.
• Keep the workstation, kitchen equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor ingredient availability and follow proper stock rotation (FIFO).
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Support the Chef and kitchen team during daily operations and busy service periods.
