Job summary

Deli by Kita in Canggu, Bali, seeks a committed Commis to support kitchen operations and food preparation under supervision. You will assist in washing, cutting, slicing, and mise en place, and help with cooking and plating.

You will follow recipes and standards, ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size, maintain clean workstations, adhere to food safety and FIFO procedures, and assist with stock control to minimize waste.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients (washing, cutting, slicing, portioning) and mise en place
• Cook and plate menu items under supervision, following recipes and standards
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, and equipment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and FIFO procedures
• Support stock control and help minimize food waste
• Work closely with the kitchen team and follow instructions from senior chefs
