Job summary

PT Bintang Orbit Surya Sejahtera is seeking a driven R&D Lead to spearhead daily research and development activities in Indonesia. You will plan, develop, and implement new product development projects in line with company objectives, while conducting research and formulation to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

You will evaluate existing products against customer requirements and market trends, plan trials from lab to production, and analyze results to drive process

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Research & Development (R&D), preferably in manufacturing or food industry.
• Strong knowledge of product development, formulation, raw materials, production processes, and product quality standards.
• Familiar with product trials, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily R&D activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Job description

Lead daily Research and Development (R&D) activities.

Plan, develop, and implement new product development projects in accordance with company objectives.

Conduct product research, formulation development, and process improvement to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Evaluate and improve existing products based on customer requirements, market trends, and production performance.

Plan, execute, and monitor laboratory trials, pilot trials, and production trials.

Analyze test results and prepare technical reports with recommendations for product and process improvements.

Investigate technical issues related to product performance and recommend effective solutions.

Manage R&D projects to ensure completion within the established timeline and budget.

Qualifications :

Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Research & Development (R&D), preferably in a manufacturing or food industry.

Strong knowledge of product development, formulation, raw materials, production processes, and product quality standards.

Familiar with product trials, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Creative, innovative, and able to identify market trends and translate them into product development.

Demonstrated leadership with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
