Job summary

Askarasoft is seeking a Business Solution Consultant to translate customer challenges into practical system solutions and ensure successful delivery. You will collaborate with customers, Sales, Project Managers, and Developers throughout presales and implementation, conducting discovery, documenting requirements, and guiding proposals and POC efforts.

The role involves creating solution documents, performing gap analyses, validating requirements, and supporting UAT and deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solution Consultant, Presales Consultant, Functional Consultant, System Analyst, or similar role in an IT/software environment.
• Strong ability to conduct customer discovery and translate business problems into structured functional requirements and system solutions.
• Good understanding of business process mapping, requirement gathering, gap analysis, and functional solution design.
• Familiarity with CRM, ERP, HRIS, Workflow, Project Management, Helpdesk, or other enterprise business applications is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of API, system integration, data flow, data migration, database concepts, and system architecture.
• Able to distinguish between standard functionality, configuration, automation, integration, and customization.
• Experienced in preparing documentation such as Blueprint, FSD, Business Process Flow, Flowchart, Use Case, Data Flow Diagram, and UAT Scenario.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery meetings with customers to understand their business processes, pain points, objectives, users, operational challenges, and expected outcomes.
• Analyze existing business processes and perform Gap Analysis between current processes and the proposed system.
• Translate customer requirements into a future-state business process and functional solution.
• Determine whether customer requirements can be fulfilled through standard features, configuration, automation, integration, or customization.
• Assist the Sales team during presales activities including discovery meetings, solution presentations, product demonstrations, technical clarification, proposals, and Proof of Concept (POC).
• Prepare solution documents such as Solution Blueprint, Business Process Flow, Functional Requirement Document, Functional Specification Document, User Flow, Use Case, Data Flow, and high-level system architecture.
• Identify project scope, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, risks, and integration requirements before implementation.
• Perform initial technical qualification for API integration, data migration, access control, cloud/on-premise deployment, and other system dependencies.
• Coordinate with Developers or Senior Technical Consultants when requirements require deeper technical feasibility assessment.

As a Business Solution Consultant, your mission is to understand customer business challenges, translate them into practical system solutions, and ensure the proposed solution can be delivered successfully.

You will work closely with customers, Sales, Project Managers, and Developers throughout the presales and implementation process.

You will be responsible for conducting discovery sessions, analyzing business processes, designing functional solutions, preparing solution documentation, supporting product demonstrations and proposals, and ensuring a smooth handover from presales to the implementation team.

• Support effort estimation and project scoping by providing clear functional requirements and solution breakdowns.
• Collaborate with Developers and Project Managers during implementation to clarify requirements and ensure that the developed solution remains aligned with the agreed scope.
• Prepare User Acceptance Test (UAT) scenarios and scripts, coordinate UAT with customers, and document feedback and sign-off.
• Perform functional testing and quality checks before customer demonstration or deployment.
• Prepare user guides, training materials, and conduct user training when required.
• Gather feedback from users during implementation and after Go-Live and identify required improvements or Change Requests.
• Conduct customer meetings and prepare meeting minutes, action items, decisions, assumptions, and outstanding issues.
• Support change-request analysis by identifying the impact on scope, timeline, effort, and existing functionality.
• Maintain clear communication between customers, Sales, Project Managers, and technical teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Support customers during the early stages of Go-Live and coordinate unresolved issues with the appropriate delivery or support team.
  

Requirements

• Able to challenge customer requirements constructively and recommend simpler or more effective business processes when appropriate.
• Able to identify risks, assumptions, dependencies, and unclear requirements before committing a solution to the customer.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and able to structure them through systematic discovery.
• Experienced working in an Agile or iterative software development environment.
• Able to collaborate closely with Developers, Project Managers, Sales, and customers.
• High integrity and able to clearly communicate when a requirement requires further technical validation instead of making unsupported commitments.
• Fast learner with strong ownership and accountability.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related discipline is preferred.
• Having own laptop and transportation is preferred based on project requirements.
• Willing to attend customer meetings onsite and travel outside Jakarta when required.
