Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking an Assistant Manager, Commercial (Invoicing Division) to lead invoicing, billing and commercial settlements for ship repair projects. You will ensure accurate capture of works, variations, and subcontracted services in line with contracts, approved budgets, and shipyard processes.

You will coordinate with production, planning, engineering and superintendents to secure timely revenue collection and project profitability, and support negotiations with ship owners and clients.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering degree(s) relevant to naval architecture or marine engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in shipyard/fabrication environments.
• Proven invoicing, variation management, and settlement experience for ship repair projects.
• Strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with commercial/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary billing officer for assigned ship repair projects.
• Capture, verify, and record all works for invoicing against contracts and approvals.
• Prepare and verify draft invoices, ensuring accuracy of costs and variances.
• Manage variations, prepare quotations, and coordinate with estimation and project teams.
• Support settlement negotiations and final account discussions with clients and superintendents.
• Ensure timely invoicing, revenue recognition, and compliance with procedures.
