Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking a Manager, Project to lead LNG carrier repair and newbuild projects at our Batam yard. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver complex marine projects on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards.

This role requires a strong background in naval architecture or marine engineering, with at least 10 years in shipyards and proven LNGC project leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the marine industry, preferably within a shipyard environment.
• Proven experience managing LNG carrier (LNGC) repair and/or newbuilding projects in a Project Manager capacity.
• Strong knowledge of shipyard production processes, construction methods, and trade activities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities of repair/new build projects to achieve timely completion while complying with OH&S, environment, quality, and safety standards.
• Manage budget control and project schedule to meet contract requirements.
• Delegate and control resources for optimum productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to satisfy needs within commercial controls.
• Lead LNGC repair and newbuild activities as the main focal point and chair daily VSCC meetings.
