Job summary

GMJ SPACE, an interior and architecture studio, seeks a designer skilled in interior or architectural design to visualize work in photorealistic renders. Strong advantage for candidates fluent in both disciplines.

The role emphasizes developing concepts, site surveys, and producing production-ready drawings for premium projects with in-house production support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in interior/architecture consulting or design-build.
• Experience on premium or luxury projects is preferred.
• Strong rendering skills with a personal portfolio of photorealistic renders.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior and/or architectural design concepts from brief to final design.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements, and space planning.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and facade designs for architectural projects.
• Produce 3D models and photorealistic renders for client presentations.
• Prepare mood boards, material boards, and samples.
• Produce production-ready working drawings in coordination with workshop teams.
• Handle client revisions promptly and thoroughly.

GMJ SPACE (PT Gedung Mas Jaya) is an interior and architecture studio that has been designing and building refined spaces since 2009. We serve middle-upper and luxury clients, primarily across Indonesia, with projects in various cities abroad. With design-and-build services and our own production workshop, your designs don’t stop at the render. You’ll see them built down to the last detail.

About the role

We’re looking for a designer with strong skills in either interior or architectural design, who can visualize their own work in high-quality photorealistic renders. Candidates who are capable in both disciplines will have a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

Develop interior and/or architectural design concepts, from client brief to final design

Conduct site surveys and measurements, and prepare space planning and layouts

Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and facade designs for architectural projects

Produce 3D models and photorealistic renders for client presentations

Prepare mood boards, material boards, and material samples

Produce accurate, production-ready working drawings in coordination with the drafting, workshop, and site teams

Handle client revisions quickly and thoroughly

About you

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience at an interior/architecture consultant or design-and-build contractor, ideally on premium or luxury projects

Strong in either interior or architectural design; capable in both is a strong plus

Excellent rendering skills: a portfolio with photorealistic renders produced personally is a must

Proficient in SKP (3D modeling) and Max Corona Render (rendering)

Proficient in CAD (working drawings) and PS (post-production)

Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and custom furniture/millwork details

Strong design sense for the luxury segment, with a keen eye for detail

Proactive, accountable, and able to work to deadlines
