Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking an Instrument & Control Engineer to lead DCS programming and configuration for a mining client on-site in North Maluku. You will develop and optimize control logic and PID loops to meet process requirements using multiple DCS platforms.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–2 years of DCS/automation experience, with ability to read Mandarin documentation and work on-site under roster schedules.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant DCS/Instrumentation/Automation experience.

Job description

We are currently supporting our client, a mining company, in hiring an Instrument & Control Engineer with strong hands‑on DCS programming and configuration experience.

This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy working directly with DCS control systems, programming, and process control, and are comfortable working in a Mandarin‑speaking environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Control Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in DCS / Instrument & Control / Automation Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience in DCS programming and configuration is mandatory.
• Able to independently work with functional blocks, control logic, and PID control loops.
• Experience with other DCS platforms such as SUPCON ECS-700, Honeywell EPKS, Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa CENTUM VP, Siemens PCS 7, ABB Ability, or Rockwell PlantPAx is also considered.
• Basic understanding of field instrumentation and instrument functions.
• Mandarin proficiency equivalent to HSK 4 or above, including the ability to read Chinese characters.
• Willing to work on‑site in North Maluku (IWIP Industrial Estate) under a roster working system
• Perform hands‑on DCS programming and configuration using functional blocks and control logic.
• Independently implement DCS control requirements based on operational needs.
• Perform PID control loop configuration and related DCS modifications.
• Support DCS troubleshooting, modification, commissioning, and optimization.
• Work with field instrumentation to support effective process control.
• Coordinate with relevant engineering and operations teams to implement control system requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and reliable operation of the control system.

Candidates with PLC experience only or field instrumentation maintenance experience without hands‑on DCS programming/configuration experience will not be prioritized.
