Job summary

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to lead electrical power, instrumentation, and process control systems for mining operations at site-based West Sumbawa. The role covers concept through detailed engineering, FAT/SAT, and commissioning, with strong emphasis on EIC design, bid evaluations, and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control/Mechatronics and 8–10 years of relevant mining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, control engineering, or mechatronics engineering.
• 8–10 years in electrical or instrumentation engineering with at least 3 years as Senior Electrical in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, or EPC projects.
• Experience designing and implementing electrical power, instrumentation, and process control systems.
• Experience supporting all project stages from concept to detailed engineering.
• Proven capability in construction, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of EIC systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, instrumentation architecture, and plant systems.
• Ability to prepare/evaluate technical specs, datasheets, and scopes for electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
• Experience in technical bid evaluations and vendor clarification processes.
• Hands-on involvement in FAT, SAT, and system commissioning.
• Strong troubleshooting of EIC systems including MCC, VFD, PLC, instrumentation loops, and control panels.
• Excellent English communication and computer literacy.
• Preferred: PE certification, electrical competency cert, PLC training, HAZOP/Functional Safety, PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development, engineering design, and execution of electrical power, instrumentation, and process control for mining facilities.
• Provide electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering support for project development activities (concept to detailed engineering).
• Develop/review electrical distribution, instrumentation architecture, and automation/control strategies for plants and mining infra.
• Review EPC/EPCM deliverables (SLD, load list, instrument index, control philosophy, cable schedule, P&ID loops).
• Prepare technical specs, datasheets, and scopes of work for electrical and automation equipment procurement.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
• Support construction, installation, commissioning of EIC systems (MCC, VFD, PLC, instrumentation loops, control panels).
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and system commissioning activities.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical recommendations during commissioning and handover.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company requirements.

Working Location: Site Based – West Sumbawa

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for supporting the development, engineering design, and execution of electrical power systems, instrumentation systems, and process control systems for mining and mineral processing facilities.
• Provide electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering support for project development activities including concept study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering.
• Develop and review electrical distribution systems, instrumentation architecture, and automation/control strategies for processing plants and mining infrastructure.
• Review engineering deliverables from EPC/EPCM contractors including SLD, load list, instrument index, control philosophy, cable schedule, and P&ID instrumentation loops.
• Support preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work for electrical and automation equipment procurement.
• Participate in technical bid evaluation and vendor clarification processes.
• Support construction, installation, and commissioning of EIC systems including MCC, VFD, PLC systems, instrumentation loops, and control panels.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical recommendations during project commissioning and operational handover.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company technical requirements

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in electrical or instrumentation engineering with at least 3 years in similar role as Senior Electrical in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, or EPC projects.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and implementation of electrical power systems, instrumentation systems, and process control systems.
• Experience supporting project stages including concept study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering.
• Proven capability in supporting construction, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control) systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation architecture, and plant
• Ability to prepare and evaluate technical specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work for electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
• Experience participating in technical bid evaluations and vendor clarification processes.
• Hands-on involvement in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and system commissioning activities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for EIC systems including MCC, VFD, PLC, instrumentation loops, and control panels.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate
• Preferred Certifications :
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification
• Electrical competency certification
• Training in automation or PLC systems
• HAZOP or Functional Safety training
• Project Management certification (PMP certification is an advantage)
