Job summary

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara is seeking an experienced Engineering Superintendent for Process Control & Instrumentation (C&I) to lead a team, oversee plant-wide control systems, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance at the Sumbawa Barat site.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in process control and instrumentation engineering, and the ability to guide maintenance strategies, cybersecurity measures, and HAZOP/SIL/LOPA sessions across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Process Control Engineers in delivering engineering support for Control & Instrumentation (C&I) systems across the CCPP to ensure safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee development and improvement of C&I engineering standards, maintenance strategies and compliance programs.
• Provide expert technical guidance, review deliverables, and optimize plant control systems to meet generation, efficiency and availability targets.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects such as retrofits, system upgrades, commissioning activities and technology integration.
• Lead RCA for equipment or system failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Job description

• To lead and supervise Process Control Engineers in delivering engineering support for Control & Instrumentation (C&I) systems across the CCPP, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulations.
• To oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of C&I engineering standards, maintenance strategies, and compliance programs.
• To provide expert technical guidance, review engineering deliverables, and ensure optimization of plant control systems to meet generation, efficiency, and availability targets
• Supervise and provide technical direction to Process Control Engineers in all aspects of Control & Instrumentation engineering and compliance activities.
• Review and validate engineering specifications, drawings, design modifications, calibration procedures, and documentation prepared by subordinates and contractors.
• Lead the development of plant-wide engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices for C&I systems including analyzers, control systems, fire & gas detection, and safety instrumented systems.
• Oversee the integrity and security of process control systems architecture, including cybersecurity measures, software updates, and compliance with security standards.
• Ensure comprehensive maintenance programs for control and instrumentation are implemented effectively, including preventive, predictive, and condition-based monitoring strategies.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment or system failures, validate subordinate investigation reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering projects such as retrofits, system upgrades, commissioning activities, and technology integration.
• Supervise procurement planning and spare parts strategies for C&I systems to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
• Represent the department in technical reviews, HAZOP/SIL/LOPA sessions, audits, and inspections, ensuring compliance with ROI laws/regulations and company policies.
• Manage and review technical correspondences, reports, and records to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Provide mentoring, training, and performance feedback to Engineers Process Control to build competency and ensure succession readiness.
• Act as Engineering & Support Superintendent when required.
• Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in process control and instrumentation engineering, preferably in power generation or heavy industry.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate with competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.
• Able to work on-site (Sumbawa Barat) with regular working hour schedule (no roster).
