Job summary

PT Kaltim Prima Coal invites applications for a Control System Engineer to safeguard and optimize power infrastructure and processing facilities. The role centers on maintaining PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, developing maintenance procedures, and leading project efforts.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering degree with 3+ years in electrical/automation, and possess ISA/IEC/IEEE standards knowledge. Based in East Kalimantan, you will operate under strict HSES guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Instrumentation & Control Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, automation or control systems
PLC/DCS/SCADA expertise (Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, MaxDNA; WinCC)
Knowledge of ISA, IEC, IEEE, AS and PUIL standards
Power plant environment experience; electricity certificates; vendor training
Fluent in English and Indonesian; strong problem-solving and budget skills
Willing to be based in East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan; committed to HSES standards

Responsibilities

Technical Oversight: develop and refine maintenance procedures for coal-fired plants and diesel gensets
System Optimization: troubleshoot and program PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for reliability
Project Management: prepare designs, cost estimates and CEAs, manage contractor performance
Strategic Improvement: conduct FMEA and RCA to improve safety, availability, and cost efficiency
Compliance: ensure activities adhere to Indonesian regulations and international HSE standards
