Job summary

PT Jawosen Teknologi Indonesia is seeking an experienced Export & Import Specialist based in Jakarta Selatan to manage international trade operations, ensuring smooth border movement and strict regulatory adherence. The role supports our global customers and requires strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, and BPOM/LPPOM regulations.

You will coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and regulators to optimize cost and lead times while maintaining compliance across all documents and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in export/import operations or customs clearance.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end trade management for full export/import lifecycle and required documentation (PIB, PEB, B/L, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, CoA, MSDS).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers for timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian trade regulations, customs laws, and international trade agreements.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Export & Import Specialist to join PT Jawosen Teknologi Indonesia on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position based in Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta Raya, where you will play a crucial role in managing our international trade operations. As an Export & Import Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods across borders whilst maintaining compliance with all customs regulations and international trade requirements. This role is essential to the success of our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to serve customers globally.

Key responsibilities

AsourExport&ImportSpecialist,youwillensureourgoodsmoveacrossbordersseamlesslyandstrictlyadheretoregulatorystandards.Yourkeyresponsibilitiesinclude:

End-to EndTradeManagement:
Managethefullexportandimportlifecycle,includingrequireddocumentation(PIB,PEB,BillofLading,CommercialInvoice,PackingList,CoA,MSDS).

Vendor&LogisticsCoordination:
Coordinatecloselywithfreightforwarders,shippinglines,andcustomsbrokerstoguaranteetimely,cost-effectivedelivery.

RegulatoryCompliance:
EnsuretotalcompliancewithIndonesiantraderegulations,customslaws,andinternationaltradeagreements.

Permits&Licensing:
Handleregulatorypermitsandlicenses,suchasNIB,API-U/P,andproduct-specificcertifications(e.g.,BPOM,Halal,SNI).

CustomsClearance&IssueResolution:
Monitorshipmentstatusproactivelyandresolveclearancedelaysorcustomsinquiriesefficiently.

CostOptimization:
Calculateandmanageimportduties,taxes,andoveralllogisticscoststomaintainbudgetefficiency.

What we're looking for

Education:Bachelor’sDegree(S1)inLogistics,InternationalTrade,BusinessAdministration,SupplyChain,orarelatedfield.

Proven experience of at least 3-5 years working in export and import operations or customs clearance roles.

IndustryBackground:CandidatewhohaspreviousworkexperienceincompanieshandlingMakeup,Skincare,Haircare,PersonalCareRawMaterials,orHomeCare/Laundryishighlypreferred. And have
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, and international trade compliance requirements.

TechnicalExpertise:DeepunderstandingofIncoterms,customsclearanceprocedures,HSCodeclassification,andBPOM/LPPOMregulationsforrawmaterialsorfinishedconsumergoods.

SystemProficiency:Hands-onexperiencewithportalsystemslikeEDI,INSW,ore-BPOM.

Effective communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders

Proficiency in English and Indonesian languages, both written and spoken

Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping practices , Problem-solving abilities to address customs issues and documentation discrepancies efficiently, Familiarity with Indonesian customs procedures and port operations is highly desirable
