About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Leader to join PT Askara Internal on a contract basis in Bekasi, West Java. This is a strategic position within our organisation that will be pivotal in driving health, safety, and environmental excellence across our operations and projects. As HSE Leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive HSE management systems and policies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace culture and operational safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and management systems across all operations and projects
• Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification to identify potential health and safety concerns
• Lead incident investigation processes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Provide HSE training and awareness programmes to employees and contractors at all levels
• Monitor HSE compliance with local regulations, Indonesian environmental standards, and international best practice guidelines
• Manage HSE audits, inspections, and certifications to ensure continuous improvement
• Collaborate with project teams and operational staff to embed HSE considerations into daily work activities
• Prepare HSE reports, metrics, and performance indicators for senior management and stakeholders
• Lead HSE committees and facilitate toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Oversee environmental management, waste disposal, and pollution prevention initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in HSE leadership roles within holding company, or manufacturing
• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian occupational health and safety regulations (K3) and environmental legislation
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
• Proven track record of leading HSE initiatives, reducing incidents, and improving safety culture
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and hazard management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Proficiency in HSE documentation, reporting, and data analysis
• Project management experience within engineering or environmental sectors is advantageous
