Job summary

PT. Sumber Energi Surya Nusantara is seeking an experienced HSE & ESG Manager to lead the development and implementation of HSE policies and ESG initiatives across construction and operations in Jakarta.

This senior role reports to senior management and requires strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations and ISO 45001. You will conduct risk assessments, oversee incident investigations, coordinate training, manage environmental impact programs, and prepare regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional HSE management experience in construction or energy sectors.
• ISO 45001 knowledge and certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations and international standards.
• Proven ESG strategy development and implementation experience.
• Excellent incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and systems across sites.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced HSE & ESG Manager to join our team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position that plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining our Health, Safety, Environment and Environmental, Social and Governance frameworks across all operational and construction activities. As HSE & ESG Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing comprehensive HSE policies and ESG initiatives that align with international best practices and regulatory requirements. This role reports to senior management and is integral to our commitment to operational excellence, regulatory compliance and sustainable business practices.

Key responsibilities

Developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive HSE policies, procedures and systems across all construction and operational sites

Conducting regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health and safety threats and implementing appropriate control measures

Monitoring compliance with local, national and international HSE regulations and standards, ensuring full adherence across all operations

Leading investigations into incidents, accidents and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions

Coordinating HSE training programmes and awareness campaigns for all employees, contractors and stakeholders

Developing and executing the company's Environmental, Social and Governance strategy and framework

Managing environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives aligned with international ESG standards

Preparing HSE and ESG reports, performance metrics and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities

Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure HSE compliance and identify areas for improvement

Collaborating with project teams, contractors and external stakeholders to integrate HSE and ESG considerations into all business activities

Maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations on HSE and ESG matters

What we're looking for

Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in HSE management within the construction or energy sector

Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing HSE management systems, preferably ISO 45001 certified

Strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations and international standards applicable to construction and energy projects

Proven experience in ESG strategy development and implementation across large-scale operations

Excellent incident investigation and root cause analysis skills with a proactive approach to hazard identification

Strong communication and training capabilities with the ability to engage employees at all levels

Experience with environmental management systems and sustainability reporting frameworks

Proficiency in HSE software systems and Microsoft Office applications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field

Fluency in English and Indonesian is essential

Proven track record of reducing incidents, improving safety culture and delivering measurable HSE improvements
