Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton Balikpapan is seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to support daily HR operations including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. The role emphasizes delivering HR services that meet employee needs and comply with applicable laws and hotel procedures.

You will interview and hire staff, manage external recruiting sources, attend job fairs, coordinate new hire orientation, and build strong employee relations through open communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in interviewing and hiring of HR staff; maintains contacts with external recruitment sources.
• Attends job fairs and documents outreach efforts per SOP.
• Networks with local organizations to source candidates for openings.
• Assists in monitoring candidate identification and selection process; performs quality control on identifications.
• Assists with unemployment claims activity and attends unemployment hearings as needed.
• Coordinates and facilitates new hire orientation; ensures departmental orientation processes are in place.
• Maintains effective employee communication channels and open-door policy; supports leadership in training programs.
• Partners with Loss Prevention to conduct employee investigations; communicates performance expectations per job descriptions.
