Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth for high-voltage electrical equipment in Indonesia. On-site in Jakarta, you will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to handover, aligning technical solutions with customer needs.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams, engage utility companies and EPC contractors, deliver technical presentations, and negotiate contracts while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of B2B sales or sales engineering experience in electrical equipment manufacturing or related industries.
• Proven experience handling utility companies, EPC contractors, or large industrial customers.
• Strong understanding of transformers, high-voltage electrical equipment, substations, switchgear, or power distribution.
• Experience managing technical sales processes, project tenders, commercial negotiations, and long-term customer relationships.
• English proficiency.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willing to complete training in Cikarang before based in Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and expand sales within the power, utilities, EPC, industrial, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Deliver technical presentations, prepare commercial proposals, and recommend suitable electrical equipment solutions based on customer requirements.
• Monitor project pipelines, tender opportunities, and procurement activities related to power transmission and electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, production, quality, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Support tender submissions, contract negotiations, project documentation, and post-sales activities while ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular customer visits, site meetings, and industry networking activities to strengthen market presence and identify new opportunities.
