PT. Quality Works, an international manufacturer (PMA) with production facilities in Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia, seeks a seasoned Purchasing/Procurement leader.
You will shape procurement strategy, manage supplier partnerships, and steer the end-to-end purchasing cycle for high-end furniture manufacturing. Heavily focused on cost control and inventory optimization, the role requires 8–10 years in purchasing or supply chain, strong negotiation, and leadership, with English as an advantage.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and operational requirements.
Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, including identifying requirements, requesting quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and completing purchases with selected vendors.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure consistent quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
Optimize inventory management through accurate forecasting, efficient stock planning, and continuous monitoring of the balance between product availability and carrying costs.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, applicable industry regulations, and the company's internal procurement policies and procedures.
Lead and develop the Purchasing and Procurement team to achieve established KPIs, strengthen team capabilities, and foster a productive working culture.
Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with other departments, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Finance, to ensure alignment in procurement planning and execution.
Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and take appropriate corrective actions or make vendor changes when necessary.
Manage the procurement budget and provide regular procurement performance reports and key metrics to senior management.
Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role, preferably as a Purchasing Manager or Head of Purchasing.
Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies within the furniture or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Strong expertise in vendor management and strategic supplier relationship management.
In-depth knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, and demand planning.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in purchasing tools, including ERP systems and procurement software.
Good understanding of quality control, compliance requirements, and regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
Good communication and presentation skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English are an advantage.
