Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wood processing: drying, machining, joinery, finishing.
• Experience exporting or private-label production is preferred.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all production activities from raw material to packing.
• Drive cost efficiency, productivity, and on-time delivery.
• Lead and develop production supervisors and team leaders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and quality controls.
• Collaborate with PPIC, R&D, Engineering, and maintenance.

Position Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all factory production activities — from raw material preparation to final packing — ensuring that quality, productivity, cost, and delivery objectives are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on operational role, suited for a leader with strong technical knowledge of wood manufacturing, proven people management skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic factory environment of over 300 workers.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

• Plan, organize, and monitor all production departments: wood preparation, machining, assembling, sanding, finishing, and packing.
• Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly targets are achieved according to the production plan.
• Optimize manpower, machines, and materials to improve efficiency.
• Control and report production KPIs: productivity, yield, downtime, and rework.

Quality & Process Assurance

• Maintain consistent product quality according to customer and internal standards.
• Work with the QC team to minimize rejects and reworks.
• Monitor finishing consistency across batches and ensure approved color and texture are met.
• Lead root-cause analysis when non-conformities occur and implement corrective actions.

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with PPIC, R&D, and Engineering to ensure smooth production flow.
• Support sample and new product development by preparing and adjusting production parameters.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure machine reliability and production continuity.

People Management

• Supervise and guide production supervisors and team leaders in each department.
• Build discipline, teamwork, and accountability across the production floor.
• Train staff in standard procedures and promote continuous improvement.
• Manage daily attendance, overtime, and performance evaluation of workers.

Safety & Environment

• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
• Promote proper handling of materials and safe operation of machinery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Wood Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in solid wood furniture manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong technical knowledge of solid wood processing: drying, machining, joinery, sanding, finishing, and assembly.
• Experience in managing production for export markets or private-label customers is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, organized, and detail-oriented personality.
• Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken and written).
