Job summary

SUMMARECON MALL MAKASSAR seeks a Head of Purchasing to lead procurement, sourcing, and vendor management to meet store needs with optimal cost and quality.

You will oversee sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets, while guiding the purchasing team to achieve targets and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain with supervisory/managerial exposure.
• Understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost control.
• Ability to conduct vendor selection, negotiations, price comparisons, and ensure availability of goods within budget.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to fulfill goods and services efficiently.
• Supervise the entire purchasing process from sourcing to receipt of goods or services.
• Manage and evaluate vendor performance and negotiate favorable terms.
• Oversee cost control and ensure compliance with budgets and policies.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team and align procurement activities with company standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain, with experience in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, purchasing strategies, contract management, and cost control.
• Able to conduct vendor selection, negotiations, price comparisons, and ensure the availability of goods and services according to the company’s requirements, quality standards, and budget.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage a team and build relationships with vendors and relevant stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to ensure the company’s goods and service requirements are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.
• Supervise the entire purchasing process, from sourcing, vendor selection, and quotation to negotiation, procurement, and receipt of goods or services.
• Manage and evaluate vendor performance and build strong working relationships to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely procurement.
• Supervise cost control, conduct price and purchasing needs analysis, and ensure purchasing processes comply with the company’s budget and policies.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team and ensure all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, targets, and standards.
