Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Manager to guide a professional HR team through the employee lifecycle. You will partner with business leadership to execute strategy, oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and payroll while ensuring policy compliance.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, strong communication, and the ability to translate policy into practical actions, fostering collaboration and leading global HR initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential
• A minimum of 13 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 at the management level
• A detailed understanding of HR principles and practices
• Experience with HR Systems, e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build good relationships
• Capability to apply discretion and maintain high levels of confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and mentorship that creates a collaborative work environment
• Work within defined parameters can make decisions and apply concepts to issues of significant complexity and resolve issues through immediate action
• Provide timely and accurate advice and guidance on general HR inquiries related to policies and processes and other general HR matters, including employee relations, benefits, talent development, and payroll
• Manage talent acquisition activities and ensure workforce requirements are planned and met
• Oversee the offer process, including offer letters and employment contracts issued per Company policy, local laws and regulations
• Manage the onboarding and off-boarding processes and may be required to conduct orientation sessions, exit interviews, and system updates
• Manage talent management processes, including annual initiatives such as talent review, succession planning, and goals setting
• Manage compensation processes such as salary reviews and promotions, including annual initiatives such as merit review
• Partner with HR COEs on global initiatives
• Oversee the administration, payroll, and HR systems in conjunction with Global People Services
• Provide monthly and ad hoc HR reporting by compiling, transforming, and visualizing data
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Own and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures
• Ensure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and procedures
• Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teams
