Job summary

Maersk is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to lead local execution of the global People Strategy and advise leaders on people-related matters.

You will drive the annual HR cycle, handle performance, compensation reviews, succession planning, and talent development while ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

The role requires 15+ years in HR, strong relationship-building across regions, English fluency, and a proactive, autonomous but collaborative working style.

Qualifications

• Broad HR generalist experience with strategic insight.
• Strong knowledge of local labor laws and compliance.
• Proven ability to coach leaders and facilitate sessions.
• Experience building relationships across complex stakeholder networks.

Responsibilities

• Implement the global People Strategy at the local level, aligned with regional and business goals.
• Advise leaders and teams on all people-related matters as a trusted partner.
• Lead the delivery of the annual HR cycle: performance, compensation reviews, succession, and development.
• Provide guidance on employee relations and ensure policy compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor local labor law changes to maintain ongoing compliance.
• Act as a talent broker to enable internal mobility across teams and regions.
• Collaborate with regional people team to manage daily HR operations and resolve complex cases.
• Analyze HR data to identify improvement opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.
• Design and deliver training for local leaders and employees on HR topics.
