Job summary

PT NEW CORAL SEA is seeking a Head of General Manager (Mandarin Speaker) to lead the General Division, overseeing General Affairs, Export & Import, Purchasing, SHE, and IT through Department Managers. You will establish strategic priorities, KPIs, and performance expectations aligned with client objectives and ops requirements.

You will drive governance, internal controls, and cost optimization while ensuring compliance with Indonesian laws and client policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields.
• 10+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years in senior management.
• Proven experience leading multiple functions and managing Department Managers.
• Mandarin proficiency is mandatory; strong English communication skills.
• Experience in heavy equipment, mining, manufacturing, construction, or related industrial sectors.
• Experience in multinational Chinese-invested companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide overall direction to the General Division through their Department Managers.
• Establish strategic priorities, KPIs, and performance expectations for the General Division.
• Coordinate and ensure accountability across all functions under the General Division.
• Provide direction to Department Managers addressing key operational and business issues.
• Ensure General Division supports HQ, branches, factory, workshops, warehouses, and field operations.
• Establish governance, internal controls, and management standards across the General Division.
• Ensure compliance with client Group policies, Company regulations, and Indonesian laws.
• Lead overall budget planning, cost control, and resource optimization for the General Division.
• Lead, coach, and develop Department Managers to strengthen functional capability.
• Identify opportunities to improve organizational infrastructure, management processes, and operational capabilities.

Provide direction and support to Department Managers in addressing key operational and business issues

Ensure the General Division provides effective and timely support to client's HQ, branches, factory, workshops, warehouses, and field operations

Establish and maintain effective governance, internal controls, and management standards across the General Division

Ensure compliance with clients Group policies, Company regulations, and applicable Indonesian laws and regulations

Lead overall budget planning, cost control, and resource optimization for the General Division

Lead, coach, and develop Department Managers to strengthen functional capability and management effectiveness

Identify opportunities to improve organizational infrastructure, management processes, and operational capabilities in line with client's growth

About you

Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields, with 10+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years in senior management

Proven experience leading multiple functions and managing Department Managers, preferably in heavy equipment, mining, manufacturing, construction, or other industrial sectors

Experience in multinational companies, preferably Chinese-invested companies

Mandarin proficiency is mandatory, with strong English communication skills to effectively coordinate with clients Group and Chinese management

Strong strategic leadership, business acumen, decision-making, and cross-functional management capabilities

Broad understanding of corporate operations, governance, cost management, risk control, compliance, and operational excellence

Strong integrity, ownership, execution capability, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
