Job summary

Pengiklan Anonim seeks a seasoned General Manager to lead coal mining operations in Indonesia. You will oversee production planning, overburden removal, coal getting, and fleet optimization while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and budget adherence.

The role demands 15+ years in mining with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. You will coordinate with Engineering, Plant, HSE, and Supply Chain to drive KPIs and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 degree in Mining Engineering or related engineering field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with minimum 5 years in General Manager position or equivalent operational leadership role.
• Strong experience managing coal mining operations in owner and contractor companies.
• Understanding of mine planning, production planning, overburden removal, coal getting, hauling, stripping ratio, and quality control.
• Capability in strategic planning, cost control, productivity analysis, and resource optimization.
• Understanding of heavy equipment management, fleet productivity, and coordination with Plant and Engineering departments.
• Knowledge of Indonesian mining regulations, mining safety management systems, environmental management, and K3 standards.
• Experience managing mining contractors, budgets, and KPI achievement.
• Leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving, negotiation, and management-level decision making.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with management, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee coal mining operational activities to meet production targets, productivity, cost efficiency, and quality.
• Develop operational strategies and short-term/long-term work plans aligned with business targets.
• Oversee mine plans, production planning, overburden removal, coal getting, hauling, and management of coal quality and quantity.
• Monitor performance to ensure targets and stripping ratios.
• Control mining costs including heavy equipment, fuel, contractors, and supporting costs.
• Oversee equipment usage, fleet optimization, availability, and utilization.
• Ensure compliance with K3, environmental and mining regulations, and company procedures.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with contracts, standards, and safety.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Plant, HSE, Survey, Geology, Supply Chain, and related departments.
• Evaluate KPIs, identify constraints, and implement corrective actions and improvements.

Lead, direct, and oversee all coal mining operational activities to ensure achievement of production targets, productivity, cost efficiency, and operational quality. Develop operational strategies and short-term and long-term work plans aligned with company business targets. Oversee implementation of mine plans, production planning, overburden removal, coal getting, hauling, and management of coal quality and quantity. Ensure achievement of production targets and stripping ratios through monitoring operational performance and periodic productivity evaluation. Control mining operational costs including production costs, heavy equipment usage, fuel, contractors, and other supporting costs. Oversee heavy equipment usage and productivity, and ensure fleet optimization, availability, utilization, and operational effectiveness. Ensure all operational activities comply with Occupational Safety and Health (K3) standards, environmental regulations, mining regulations, and company procedures. Oversee contractor performance and ensure work execution complies with contracts, operational standards, production targets, and safety provisions. Coordinate with Engineering, Plant, HSE, Survey, Geology, Supply Chain, and related departments to ensure smooth operational activities. Evaluate achievement of operational KPIs, identify constraints, and establish corrective actions and continuous improvements. Manage manpower needs, operational organizational structure, competency development, and team performance evaluation across all operational areas. Oversee compliance with permits, work plans and budgets, and applicable mining technical provisions within company authority. Prepare and submit operational reports, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to the Board or company management. Drive improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, technology application, and work process standardization to support company operational sustainability.
