Job summary

Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla is seeking a friendly, professional waiter/server to join our dining team. You will greet guests warmly, seat them promptly, and present menus with thoughtful recommendations to enhance their experience.

You will take accurate orders, communicate dietary needs to kitchen and bar, deliver meals efficiently, clear and reset tables, and work closely with colleagues to maintain a spotless, inviting dining area.

Qualifications

• Experience as waiter/server in a professional dining setting.
• Excellent customer service and positive guest interactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tables.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and seating, provide menus with recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, note special requests.
• Deliver orders promptly and assist guests as needed.
• Provide menu knowledge including ingredients and pairings.
• Clear and reset tables, maintain a clean dining area.
• Process payments using POS, handle cash and card payments.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, housekeeping for smooth service.
• Anticipate guest needs and address concerns with empathy.
