Job summary

Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto is seeking a friendly Concierge (Daily Worker) to join our Front Office team. The Concierge is responsible for providing personalized assistance and information to guests, helping them make the most of their stay, and ensuring that all guest requests are handled efficiently and professionally.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, knowledge of local attractions, and a flexible, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Concierge, Front Office, Guest Relations, or Hospitality is preferred.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, transportation, and tourist destinations is an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Friendly, helpful, and professional personality.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Flexible and reliable to work on a Daily Worker basis.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide information and recommendations regarding hotel facilities, restaurants, shopping areas, attractions, and local activities.
• Assist guests with transportation arrangements, including taxis, airport transfers, and other transportation services.
• Arrange restaurant reservations, tours, tickets, and other guest activities when requested.
• Assist with luggage and coordinate with the Bell Service team when required.
• Provide directions and local information to help guests navigate the area.
• Handle guest requests and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist VIP guests and provide personalized services according to their needs.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Bell Service, and other departments to fulfill guest requests.
• Maintain updated knowledge of hotel facilities, local attractions, restaurants, transportation, and events.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and elevate issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of guest requests and arrangements.
• Ensure the Concierge desk and surrounding area are clean, organized, and presentable.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Support the Front Office team during busy periods and special events.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Concierge Supervisor or Front Office Manager.
