Job summary

PT Astoria Prima is seeking a seasoned International Purchasing professional to source materials, packaging, machinery, and other goods from overseas suppliers. The role focuses on identifying reliable international suppliers, especially from China, and negotiating terms in Mandarin and English.

The ideal candidate will manage PO issuance, coordinate across departments, and monitor the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with import procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders to international suppliers.
• Monitor purchasing process from quotation to arrival of goods.
• Request and compare quotations from multiple suppliers for best price, quality, and terms.
• Coordinate with suppliers on specs, samples, quality, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, Production, R&D, QA/QC, and Logistics on international purchasing requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability and prevent production interruptions.
• Manage purchasing documents such as quotations, POs, invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Monitor supplier performance, including quality, price, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluation and maintain an updated international supplier database.
• Handle supplier complaints, discrepancies, delays, shortages, damaged goods, and other purchasing issues.
