Job summary

Social Expat is seeking a confident, highly organised Community Coordinator to manage and scale our network of local leaders (Mavericks) across international cities. This role is a dedicated back-office operation, not on-ground events, serving as the operational backbone for local leads.

You will recruit, train, and empower Mavericks; coordinate venue sourcing and bookings; and keep remote teams aligned with monthly planning meetings, while tracking attendance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Background in Community Coordination, Recruitment, Event Logistics, or Public Relations (1–3 years experience).
• Business fluent in written and spoken English with cross-cultural communication skills.
• Confident, emotionally intelligent, and able to stay calm and organized under pressure.
• Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, proactive in supporting remote teams.
• Excited about building structured systems that empower local leaders to create inclusive spaces.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Training: interview, hire, onboard, and train new local Mavericks.
• Operational & Venue Support: assist venue sourcing, bookings, and logistical setups.
• Community Leadership & Engagement: act as the glue for remote teams with monthly Maverick planning
• Process & Bottleneck Management: multitask under pressure to resolve delays and keep processes moving
• Admin & Metrics Tracking: monitor attendance metrics and manage reimbursements on time
