The position leads the accounting team, strengthens financial controls, and provides accurate reporting and analysis to support regulatory compliance and informed business decisions.
Accounts Receivable
Set objectives for the accounts receivable team in alignment with the accounting department’s goals
Ensure accurate invoicing and collection procedures that comply with applicable laws
Resolve dealer-related accounts receivable issues in coordination with Sales and other relevant divisions
Review credit limits in accordance with established procedures and provide recommendations on credit limit calculations and changes
Develop and update relevant policies and procedures
Coordinate with relevant divisions on bad debt resolution and countermeasures
Accounts Payable
Approve invoices and verify all required supporting documents, including Value Added Tax receipts and withholding tax amounts
Prepare and present analytical reports
Audit, Reporting & General Accounting
Set objectives and action plans for the accounting team in alignment with management goals
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc forecasts, financial reports, and analyses
Ensure that accounting procedures comply with applicable laws and that team members follow relevant accounting principles
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Manage balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and review trial balances to ensure that entries are recorded appropriately
Audit financial transactions and documents, follow up on internal controls, and implement appropriate countermeasures
Compute taxes, prepare tax returns and the annual Corporate Income Tax report, and compile transfer pricing data and information
Prepare balance sheet and profit and loss forecasts and analyses
Liaise with financial auditors and confirm consolidation package reports, including the relevant analysis
Conduct training for the accounting team and division heads on Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards, including PSAK 71, 72, and 73, as well as the impact of the Omnibus Law on the company
Tax & Related Matters
Identify solutions to complex tax issues and errors arising from incorrect tax filings
Ensure that internal divisions understand relevant tax regulations
Advise management on tax liabilities, corporate strategies, and the impact of new tax laws
Coordinate outsourced tax preparation activities and accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
Liaise with internal and external parties, including tax consultants, actuaries, and tax authorities
Ensure the accuracy of reports required by the Financial Services Authority and Bank Indonesia, as well as other requested regulatory reports
Cash Flow Management
Calculate and forecast collections and expenditure to maintain adequate company cash flow
Maintain banking relationships to identify opportunities for cash management improvement and remain informed about relevant market and regulatory developments
Experience managing accounting and finance activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, taxation, audits, and cash flow
Knowledge of Indonesian accounting principles, tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards, including PSAK 71, 72, and 73
Ability to prepare and analyse financial statements, forecasts, tax reports, transfer pricing documentation, and consolidation packages
Experience leading an accounting team and coordinating with auditors, consultants, banks, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders
Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
