RS Sedayu General Hospital in Bantul, Yogyakarta invites applications for a Finance & Accounting Supervisor. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial statements, and support management with meaningful analyses.

The role reports to the Finance Manager, requires 5+ years in accounting with 2+ years in supervision, a relevant degree, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Healthcare experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting/finance with 2+ years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations: AP, AR, GL.
• Prepare and reconcile financial statements per standards.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare accounting regulations and internal controls.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and authorization.
• Manage banking relationships and cash management activities.
• Supervise accounting staff with guidance, training and feedback.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and analyses for management.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and records.
• Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes.
• Assist in improving accounting procedures and internal controls.

About the role

We are recruiting a Finance & Accounting Supervisor to join RS Sedayu General Hospital on a full-time basis, based in Bantul, Yogyakarta. This is a strategic position within our Finance and Accounting department, responsible for overseeing financial accounting operations and reporting functions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and the timely preparation of financial statements. This position reports to the Finance Manager and is integral to supporting the hospital's financial management and decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations, accounting policies, and internal controls
• Review and verify financial transactions, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy and authorisation
• Manage banking relationships and coordinate cash management activities, including deposits and reconciliations
• Supervise accounting staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis for management review
• Monitor and maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with audit and compliance requirements
• Identify accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
• Assist in the development and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in healthcare accounting or hospital financial management is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of internal controls and audit procedures
• Knowledge of Indonesian taxation and accounting regulations
• Professional certification such as Akuntan Bersertifikat (CB) or equivalent is preferred
