Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent desirable.
• 10+ years accounting experience with 3-5 years in supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Indonesian tax and reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop policies, procedures and internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Lead accounting team – supervision, training and performance development.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close, reconciliations and reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for compliance.
• Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
• Monitor budgets, variance analysis and cash flow projections.
• Implement accounting systems and technology solutions.
• Ensure timely tax compliance and filings.

About the role

PT KEY SPAN SOLUSINDO is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function and drive financial excellence across the organisation. This is a full-time position based in Yogyakarta. As Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Manage the accounting team, providing supervision, training and performance development to ensure high-quality output
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making and strategic planning
• Monitor and manage budgets, variance analysis and cash flow projections
• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and technology solutions
• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and filings

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional accounting qualification (such as CPA or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management capacity
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and tax regulations in Indonesia
• Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Knowledge of internal audit procedures and risk management practices
• Fluency in Indonesian and English is preferred
