Job summary

RS Sedayu General Hospital in Bantul, Yogyakarta, seeks a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Laboratory & Technical Services team. This full-time position performs routine and specialised tests across haematology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology, ensuring accuracy and safety in patient diagnostics.

You will operate and maintain equipment, prepare samples, document results, and uphold quality control and biosafety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional registration or certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician in Indonesia.
• Proficiency in performing standard laboratory tests and analyses across multiple disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, biosafety procedures and infection control practices.
• Experience with laboratory information management systems and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory tests including haematology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology analyses.

About the roleRS Sedayu General Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Laboratory & Technical Services department. This is a full-time position based in Bantul, Yogyakarta. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in our diagnostic services, performing essential laboratory tests and analyses that directly contribute to patient care and clinical decision-making. This position is vital to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety and efficiency within our laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities

Perform routine and specialised laboratory tests including haematology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology analyses

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality

Prepare patient samples for testing following strict standard operating procedures

Collect and process blood samples and other clinical specimens with precision and care

Record and document test results accurately in the laboratory information system

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and infection control measures

Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment

Conduct quality control procedures to ensure reliability of test results

Communicate findings to laboratory supervisors and medical staff as required

Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams

What we're looking for

Preferred: Experience working in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory environment
