As the face of our venue, you will greet guests, present menus, take accurate orders, collaborate with kitchen and bar teams, and ensure flawless service with professionalism and attention to detail. English fluency and Bali hospitality familiarity are advantageous.

About the role

Kanary Bakery is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Food and Beverage Service Waiter barista to join our team in Bali. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests in a dynamic hospitality environment. As an FB service waiter, you will be the face of our establishment, providing outstanding customer service whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and attention to detail. This role is fundamental to creating memorable experiences for our patrons and supporting the smooth operation of our food and beverage service.

What you'll be doing

Greeting guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and seating them in accordance with service procedures

Presenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations regarding food and beverage offerings

Taking accurate food and beverage orders whilst attending to specific guest preferences and dietary requirements

Communicating orders clearly to the kitchen and bar teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Serving food and beverages with precision, using proper techniques and ensuring correct presentation standards

Maintaining vigilant table management, clearing plates promptly and resetting tables between services

Handling guest requests and complaints with professionalism and courtesy, escalating issues when necessary

Processing payments accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations throughout service periods

Collaborating effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders and fellow waiters to ensure seamless service delivery

Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a food and beverage service waiter or in a similar hospitality customer-facing role

Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, techniques and etiquette

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests positively

Professional demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

Reliability and strong work ethic with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Experience in Bali's hospitality sector or familiarity with multicultural service environments is advantageous

Fluency in English (additional languages welcome)
